RADIO COMMUNICATIONS WITH

COMMUNITY FIRST RESPONDERS

Radio Communications at the DCSO is the link between 911 dispatch and most all Central Oregon law enforcement agencies. With 9 communication sites throughout Deschutes County, the simulcast system allows for saturation of coverage that ensures all agencies are instantly available on the same channel. Changing channels is no longer necessary. We provide communication links with a 10-channel system for Bend Police, Bend Public Works, Dial-A-Ride, Deschutes County Public Works, Sunriver Police, Black Butte Police, Oregon Liquor Control Commission, and Oregon State Police. In addition, we supply a data system for the Redmond Police.

Radio Management controls and maintains between 1,100 and 1,200 radios and pagers for the patrol division and the corrections division at the DCSO.
