8800 Thicket Lane, Crooked River Ranch

Victim: Juvenile male

On 05/24/13 at approximately 1039 hours, Deputies were dispatched to 8800 Thicket Lane for a gunshot wound. Upon arrival Deputies discovered that the victim was transported to the Crooked River Ranch Fire Dept. and was taken by air ambulance to St. Charles Medical Center in Bend to be treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury.

The investigation revealed that this appeared to be an accidental gunshot by another family member. There are no other persons of interest in the case. Deschutes County Detectives were called to investigate the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
This case is being forwarded to the Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office for review.
