On Thursday, 11/15/12, at approximately 0936 hours, deputies with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of a male subject who was observed walking from house to house in the Widgi Creed Sub-Division in Bend. It was reported by one witness that the subject had knocked on his back door before being asked what he was doing. The suspect stated he was looking for someone’s home in the area. The witness reported seeing the subject at several houses.

A search of the neighborhood was conducted at which time Seth Willing was located in the driveway of a home in the area. Willing matched the description provided from witnesses that were contacted. It was determined Willing had a warrant for his arrest at that time for Failure to Appear on a Harassment case.

A subsequent investigation into Willing’s activities in the neighborhood led to confirmation from a resident in the area that Willing had been inside his home. Additional evidence found at the time of Willing’s arrest was further collected as potential stolen property from the area. Willing was lodged at the Deschutes County Jail related to the warrant for Failure to Appear as well as Burglary in the First degree relating to entering into the house in the area.
The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office patrol and detective divisions are currently conducting follow up on this case in effort to identify additional victims who may have been burglarized in the area. The sheriff’s office is asking anyone in the Widgi Creek area to determine if they may be a victim of a crime and to contact the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at 541-693-6911 reference case number 12-234197.

It is unknown how or why Willing was in this neighborhood. At this time it is unknown if he was alone or if he may have a vehicle in the area. This investigation in ongoing.
