Assistance at the crash scene was provided by the Oregon State Police, ODOT, and the Bend and Redmond Fire Departments.

As deputies arrived, both southbound lanes of Highway 97 were fully blocked with a partial blockage of the northbound fast lane of travel. Traffic was slowed or blocked for approximately 30 minutes while the crash was investigated and cleared from the roadway.

The front the SUV impacted into the motorcycle knocking the rider off. The SUV had moderate front end damage and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Pallozi was transported by Redmond Fire ground ambulance to SCMC in Bend with non life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported to any of the SUV occupants. Dwyer was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Speed, alcohol, or distracted driving do not appear to be factors in this crash. This investigation is ongoing at this time.
