Meet the Undersheriff

Undersheriff Aaron Wells comes to the Sheriff’s office with 17 ½ years of experience working for the City for Redmond Police Department.  During that time he has served as an Officer, Detective, CERT team member/sniper, Street Crimes Detective, Drug Recognition Evaluator, Detective Sergeant, Investigations Lieutenant and finally Captain.  

He has been awarded the Chief's commendation twice for his work with the SCU and Investigations teams as well as a life saving award.  Prior to his law enforcement career Captain Wells worked as a Pastor and Construction worker.  

He holds a degree from Oregon State University where he played football and was recognized as a Team Captain his senior year as well as the Oregon State Male Student Athlete of the year and first team all academic honors for the PAC-10. 

Captain Wells has been married for nearly 25 years and has three amazing children.
