The Deschutes County Adult Jail serves as the primary detention facility for Deschutes County, housing individuals in custody on behalf of multiple law enforcement agencies  including the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Bend Police Department, Redmond Police Department, Sisters Police Department, and others operating within the county.

The jail population at any given time reflects several different custody situations. Some individuals have been recently arrested and are in the early stages of the booking and arraignment process. Others are awaiting trial and are either ineligible for release or have not yet posted bail.
